Alethea Joy

I grew up in suburban Minnesota, the daughter of a single dad who instilled in me a love for God (he was a pastor) and a love for television. When it came time for college I took a chance and headed west–all the way to Los Angeles. There I majored in communication with a minor in cinema-television. The goal was to one day work in TV–my favorite form of media, but after four years of classes I decided it’s just as fun researching, discussing and contemplating all the media that already exists.
It’s my love for discussing media from every possible perspective that led me to being a blogger here at feministhemes.com.
